The eighth day church is located in a coffee shop with no room or intention to grow. We are not trying to create an extravagant sanctuary or church building. We do not intend to make our congregation huge. We have a very diverse population as homeless folks stroll in. Two neighboring L'arche communities for people with disabilities are represented as are a contingent of AA people. At one point we had our bible readings and hymns in English and Spanish. We still have our Hispanic group but we've also got a few Africans. |
