Xi'an - May, 2016

One of our favorite experiences in China was our visit to tea street in Xi'an. I was never a big tea drinker until I tasted this tea. We visited several shops on tea street. I believe each building has a different special tea. Each building contained three or four floors with different stores in each floor. The multi-colored umbrellas is a hallmark of tea street. The tea shop had a special tasting ceremony on a large tree stump table with heavy lacquer. The water is poured in the pot and poured out on the table. Then the tea is poured out. At that point the tea has been rinsed and ready for the first brew. We tasted tea which was about 15 years old. It was delicious.
