This is a nice little historic and wildlife park not far from the town of Salisbury.
This whole vacation was a new exploration over old territory. I grew up in the DC area and often visited this area for the beach. We had a habit of making a bee line for the beach, get there as quickly as possible. We enjoyed the beach immensely. Ocean city was a favorite as a young social person. Assateague was a perennial favorite for nature and seclusion. The eastern shore of Maryland is a farm community.
We got away to a nearby park and really enjoyed the solitude and quiet of nature.
I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of activities and restaurants in the area. I have come to the beach nearby my entire life. A few miles away are wildlife refuges and historical sites I have never seen.
