Main Page
This is a page dedicated to the young men whose lives were permanently intertwined on an evening in May...

This is a tribute to the boys who travel together in a journey. This page marks a tribute to the past and reach into the future. This page is dedicated to young people who have overcome a tragedy as juveniles and embarked on an unknown future as young adults. We love a young man whose spirit is with us but who has left this earthly body behind.

Matthew, Mark, Mike and Adrian have dealt with a difficult challenge as a friend has moved on. The young men left behind are challenged to cope without a valued friend.

Matt was in the hospital for a week with breaks in both arms. He had surgery to mend his left hand. There were many breaks in the hand.

This is Matt a day or so after the horrible night. There is ointment on his forehead. It was not oozing bodily fluids. Think of the limitations of having both  your arms in casts so that you can't bend your elbow. He couldn't feed himself or wipe his ...

... mouth.

This is where the car went off the road. You can see tire tracks. The car would have headed directly toward the camera.

This shows the path of the car after severing the telephone pole where Derek is. After flying thru the air the automobile landed against the tree where the others are in front of Dereks face. Matt landed where he is standing with the black shirt.

This is the area where the car wrapped around the tree. There was debris scattered around this area.

This photo shows the damage to the tree that the car caused. The impact must have been incredible.

This shot is from across the road. The new telephone pole on the right side replaces the one that had been severed in the crash. The tree that stands out on the left side with the orange balloon is the location of the car afterwards.
